Fantasy Baseball Week 10: Advice on two-start SPs, seven-game teams, more | Sporting News

You know the drill -- as one fantasy baseball week ends, another is set to begin, and whether you're in a daily roto league or a weekly head-to-head, now is the perfect time to prepare for the next seven days. Let's take a look at the auto-starts and upside streams among two-start SPs for Week 10 before checking a few hitters with seven-game schedules you might want to target.

As always, these lists are subject to change, especially if inclement weather rears its ugly head.

The aces speak for themselves, but some fringe aces creep into the picture next week. Logan Webb and Alex Wood have a double-shot of juicy matchups. Nestor Cortes just got lit up by the Twins in a rare clunker, so we'll see how he recovers from adversity. In daily leagues, you might consider sitting him in Toronto if he struggles in Tampa, but he's a must-start in weekly leagues. Shane Bieber would normally be much higher on this list, but traveling to Coors Field and Dodger Stadium knocks him down a few pegs.

Zach Eflin has been a bit of a WHIP rollercoaster: Sometimes sharp and sometimes out of control. However, he should post some solid numbers against Miami and Washington, and he's only rostered in 26 percent of Yahoo leagues. In Merrill Kelly's last start against the Reds, he looked like the early-season version of himself, pitching six innings of one-hit ball with five strikeouts. Now he gets another chance at Cincinnati on Monday. My favorite sleepers for this week: Josiah Gray, Alex Faedo, and Chris Flexen. They might play for crap teams, but each has been solid as of late. You can @ me if they let you down – my Twitter could use some fresh activity!

Talk about a table full of misfit fantasy toys and over-the-hill veterans. I'd cherry-pick some of these guys for single streams, but I wouldn't trust anyfor weekly lineup locks or anything lower than 12-team leagues. Yusei Kikuchi should be fine against Baltimore, and Reid Detmers can probably get a quality start in Seattle if we see the good version of him. The same goes for Adrian Houser at Cincinnati and Zach Davies vs. Cincinnati (hey, Cincy stinks, OK?).

All other teams (17) scheduled to play six games in Week 10

Cedric Mullins and Anthony Santander, OF, Baltimore

Mullins and Santander have not been great the past few weeks, but they have a full seven-game slate in Week 10 and they'll face multiple pitchers who struggle against lefties and switch-hitters. Mullins should be viewed as a buy-low in the trade market, and Santander might be worth grabbing off the wire (34-percent rostered).

Santiago Espinal, 2B/3B, Toronto

We'll talk more about Espinal next week in our waivers column, but don't be surprised if he's up over 50 percent rostered by then (he's currently at 46 percent). The 27-year-old infielder entered Saturday batting .421 with three homers and 10 RBIs in June.

Lowe has been quietly raking since the calendar turned to June, entering Saturday with a .353 average and four HRs. He strikes out a lot and he doesn't offer much in the form of RBIs since he plays for the Rangers, but he might be worth snatching for his upcoming seven-game week.
