Professional Tool Reviews for Pros

The Knipex TwinGrip Pliers claim status as the industry’s first 5 adjustment push-button slip joint pliers. The unique-looking design lets you get into confined spaces. It also promises superior gripping strength from virtually any angle.

Due to a unique head design, the Knipex TwinGrip Pliers have a combination of front and side gripping. At the tip of the head, Knipex has designed the jaws in such a way that you can lock the pliers onto stripped and rusted-out screws.

Because of the tip jaws and the overall slim head design, it looks like you’ll have no problem slipping the pliers into confined spaces and taking advantage of the narrow turning zone for fast and effective work.

Both the front and side jaws feature opposing teeth as well. This provides maximum gripping force for round, square, and even hex materials. The three-point system even gives you reliable gripping capabilities with flat workpieces.

In addition to the innovative jaw design, the Knipex TwinGrip Pliers also feature a 5-adjustment push-button slip joint. According to them, this is an industry first. This joint lets you adjust the jaw capacity between 5/32″ to 7/8″ for a secure grip on your workpiece.

The Knipex TwinGrip Pliers come either with a dipped handle (82 01 200) or a comfort grip handle (82 02 200). They should hit stores and online dealers by July 2021. Knipex does anticipate high demand for the pliers, so they might be hard to come by for a while. Bear in mind, however, that Amazon and Acme Tools usually have a decent selection of Knipex products, so those might be good places to shop. We still haven’t received any confirmation in regards to pricing, but we have it on good authority that they come with a Lifetime Warranty against defects.

I’m an almost exclusive KNIPEX and SNAP-ON user when it comes to pliers. I do like Gedore, NWS and others, too. Snap-On is my go to for needle nose and slip-joints and aside from Klein’s needle nose coming close (and definitely better for electrical), it’s going to take a lot to sway me. Inevitably I’ll try out these Knipex, but dang if they don’t have stiff competition from the 47ACF.
